Elevate your space with this exceptional Manjushri statue crafted from copper using the revered lost wax technique. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece features meticulous gold plating and exquisite sculpting, rendering it both unique and exquisitely beautiful. Notably, the deity's ornate jewels are lavishly gold plated, with finely detailed carvings gracing the ornaments.

Here, Manjushri is portrayed as a male Bodhisattva, wielding a flaming sword in his right hand, symbolizing the awakening of transcendent wisdom that eradicates ignorance and duality. In his left hand, he holds a Padma (lotus) with a scripture, representing his attainment of ultimate wisdom. Manjushri is gracefully seated upon a single lotus as his seat.

According to the Swayambhu Purana, the Kathmandu Valley was once a vast lake. Legend has it that Manjushri observed a lotus flower at the lake's center and carved a gorge at Chovar to drain the lake. This act transformed the lotus's settling place into the renowned Swayambhunath Stupa, rendering the valley habitable.

Tips for Maintaining Gold Statues:

  • Avoid direct contact or cleaning with cold water, especially on gold-painted surfaces. Instead, gently remove dust with a soft cotton cloth.
  • Refrain from using abrasive scrubbing cloths, steel wool, or metal-bristled brushes, as they can leave unsightly scratches on the statue's surface.
  • Minimize handling of gold statues, as the natural oils from your skin can expedite tarnishing and diminish their longevity.
