Artisans make our lampshades from the fibrous bark of the Daphne Cannabina bush. This shrub grows at high altitudes in the Himalayas. Because harvesting the bark doesn't destroy the tree, it regenerates naturally.

Artisans prepare the paper without electricity. First, they boil the bark. Next, they beat it with wooden mallets into a pulp. Finally, they sun-dry it in wooden frames. Since Lokta paper is naturally acid-free and resistant to humidity and insects, your lampshade lasts for years.

💡 Pro-Tip for Buyers

For the best look, we recommend a Warm White LED bulb. The natural fibers of the Nepali Kagaj catch the warm tones. As a result, the intricate texture of the marigold petals stands out beautifully.
